William Sidney Mount

apprenticed as a sign painter to his brother, Henry Mount (1825); drawing classes at National Academy of Design (NAD, 1826-27)


1830 – exhibits Rustic Dance after a Sleigh Ride (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston) at NAD
1835 – Bargaining for A Horse is engraved twice for the American Art Union
